Hello and welcome to my teacher profile! My name is Dillon Stolz. I am a music and art teacher, currently working on my Bachelor in Art Education at FIU. I've earned my Associate's degree in Music Education at MDC with a focus on jazz guitar and I have a fairly diverse experience in different genres of music (primarily worship/church music, but also rock, pop, punk/metal, jazz and others). I have also played drums, bass, and sung in numerous bands throughout the years.
I am hoping to improve my teaching skills through this platform and I firmly believe in learning from my students as much as they learn from me. I am laid-back and a kid at heart, and I find it important to teach with a sense of humor and to make lessons less of a tedious ritual and more of an enjoyable hobby that they will want to spend time on and get better at.
For the record, I'm also a huge geek. I love video games, superheroes, sci-fi, fantasy, board games, cartoons/anime, technology/science... If you're into something, feel free to talk to me about it, I love getting to know what you're passionate about!
