As a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and New School University in New York City, I've performed all over the country in national tours and regional theatres ranging from AZ to TX. Workshops, festivals, and readings in NYC have given me different tools that are useful in today's quickly changing artistic world. My violin and I have also traveled the world with performances in France as well as touring the United States. *** Lesson Details *** We will set up lessons according to your goals! Music Theory is essential and we will be learning how to read every detail of music. We'll find ways to strengthen techniques with special etudes and classical pieces to reinforce basics. Healthy muscle memory and support techniques will increase stamina over time. *** Studio Equipment *** In Home Studio on 133rd and 7th Avenue. Ripley Grier and surrounding NYC studios are possible rehearsal spaces -- additional fees will apply. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide some music and technique literature. Violin students would need to provide their own violin and music stand as well as study books. Voice students should have a keyboard or piano accessible. Acting students should provide monologues and scripts that they would like to work on. *** Specialties *** I specialize in the Musical Theatre genre which encompasses so many forms of performance: acting, singing and dancing. The seamless combination of these is pivotal. As a violinist, I have more of a classical background but have experience fiddling and improvising with bands.
