I am a professional saxophonist with a degree in Music Education and Criminal Justice. I attended Grambling State University and Lane College I have performed with various ensembles: The World Famed Tiger Marching Band, University of Memphis Symphonic Ensemble. In the past, I have worked for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, served as Head Band Director of Focus Academy of Dallas Texas and served as a Graduate Assistant of Texas Wesleyan Concert Ensemble.
Started the first band program at the school consisting of 95 students in grades 4th-12th. Taught students how to play instruments that ranged from beginners to intermediate how to be proficient on their perspective instruments. Music Appreciation, a course averaging 120 students per semester, covering the following topics: The foundation of reading and understanding music, Music History, Composition,
Orchestration, and Counterpoint.

Begun in 1920 as the Texas Band Teachers Association, the Texas Music Educators Association is an organization of over 10,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence in music education. TMEA is comprised of five divisions: Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary and College. On behalf of its members and Texas schoolchildren, TMEA carefully monitors the actions of all state decision-making bodies on issues affecting fine arts instruction in Texas. In addition to many member benefits, TMEA offers professional development opportunities for its members with Region workshops and especially with its annual Clinic/Convention.
