A lesson plan based on your goals and current ability level. Lessons that work towards your goals. Lessons are provided in classic rock, mainstream rock, funk, blues, pop, and folk guitar styles. Have you taken guitar lessons that didn't really seem to help? My first job with a new student is to understand what they are looking for in guitar lessons. Do you want to be able to strum songs that you like? Do you want to play lead guitar in a rock band? Do you want to play along with backing tracks or songs? Do you want to learn music theory? Do you want to enrich your life with playing music? Do you want to write your own songs? I start by understanding what you want to be able to do with your guitar. I send new students a short questionnaire which they can fill out in as much detail as they want. I make sure that what I teach you matches your personality and learning style, and is geared towards your personal goals. I have been teaching guitar for 20 years. I have played music since I was 10 years old (various instruments). I specialize in rock, blues, pop, jazz, and fusion. I currently study with Bruce Arnold. I have studied at Bekeley Online and with Chris Morrison, Hy White, and Tom Hess. I am enrolled in a an ongoing mentoring group for music teachers. I take the art of teaching seriously.
