About Delecia W.

I have been teaching Piano and Voice lesson since 2015. I love Music and being able to pass down my musical knowledge and wisdom to other children and adult with the same growing passion. The thing I love the most about teaching lessons is connecting with my students. Making them feel cared for and valued is very important to me. I want to help them feel like they are strong enough to handle anything. I want to build their confidence in all walks of life whether it be music or anything they decide to tackle in their lives. I don't want to just build strong, confident, and brilliant musicians but I want to help build great, kind, compassionate people so they can go on and pass their light to other people that need it just like they did.

I'm the Lead Female singer of a very successful wedding/cover band called Bill's Toupee. I love to perform and I'm blessed enough to have a band of very experienced and highly talented musicians that makes my job so much fun. Most weekends I'm in New York performing for Weddings, Private Parties, Casinos, Restaurants and Bars. Due to Covid we haven't gigged together since March because of health and safety concerns but we will start booking gigs again in August. Also have experience being social media coordinator for the band.

This is the music center I actually started at when I was 5 years old learning piano for the first time and it was definitely a full circle experience when I was offered a job teaching here being I moved. When I was a child I was scared of anything I wasn't good at right away and because of that I had really bad anxiety when it came to piano but the teacher that I had there guided me through that anxiety and fear for many years and because of that beautiful kindness and patience I was shown at this amazing studio I not only LOVE playing the piano now but as am able to pass that on that wisdom, Kindness, and Patience to my students today.
