For over 30 years, David has had a passion for the piano. Classically trained as a child by numerous teachers, David has mastered the expressive aspect of piano accompanied by a solid rhythmic foundation. David is also a composer and is currently supporting the release of his 3rd CD! A graduate of SFSU with a focus on Music Theory, David has been teaching students for over 8 years. By living the music on a daily basis, David is easily able to channel that energy through the lesson and to the student.

My first lesson went very well. David has a lot of patience which I appreciate.
Today we had our first lesson for our 6 year old Sofia. David was very pleasant and kept Sofia focused for the whole lesson :) Great start!
First session was great. David appraised my skills (ha), picked up where I needed to go next, and created a lesson plan on the spot. He did not ask me to buy more lesson books, but used the ones I brought from a previous class - which I appreciated. He says that if I stick to the plan, I'll be playing Maple Leaf Rag in two months. Game on!
His studio is very well organized & equipped, and we went right to work, beginning and ending on time.
David was very friendly and patient with my five year old son, who has never even touched a piano before! He was excited and can't wait to return!
David is very patient and he's been able to adjust to my son's personality and level accordingly. Recommend!
I have an "energetic" 5 year old boy with an attention span measured in seconds, let alone minutes. David has done a grew job being patient with him, keeping him excited about lessons (and practice), importantly teaching him challenging music theory and piano in an age-appropriate manner. I'm actually shocked how well this "experiment" has worked! Highly recommended!!+ Read More
Very patient! We had been on vacation with no practice, and he still was great!
David is very accomplished, patient, gives constructive criticism, and gives good pointers to be a better player. I am enjoying my lessons and playing the piano once again. Thank you.
Patient and positive
My 5 and 9 year old are currently taking lessons in piano with David. He has been extremely patient with both, especially with the 5 year old who can be very squirrely:) With the 9 year old he has great methods for adapting the music to smaller hands and challenges him to be introspective in regards to his own playing. Instead of just telling him what mistakes he made, he has him define his own mistakes so the lesson is more truly learned. David has adapted well to both learning styles of the boys and they are both improving each week.
David is very supportive with both my wife and my son. He has a great knowledge of the piano. Thanks David!
David is very patient. He creates a laid back atmosphere where you don't feel pressured in any way by him. He teaches you, and it's fun, and you learn. I find myself wanting to practice more and more every day!
