About Ray M.

I have played piano since age 5, saxophone since age 13, and guitar since age 15. I received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Memphis, a Masters of Education from Union, and have taught music for Memphis City Schools for the past 6 years. I love and play a wide variety of music including Classical, Contemporary, Rock, Folk, and Praise & Worship music. *** Lesson Details *** There won't be any fussing or hand slapping in my lessons. As long as a few simple procedures are followed, progress will soon come. Students will have an exercise book as well as a couple of pieces to learn. If a student is willing to practice about 20-25min daily, then at the end of 6 months he/she will be able to play their first piece! *** Studio Equipment *** Living room w/ FW keyboard, guitar, and seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** I'd expect students to have their own instruments and to purchase their own books. *** Specialties *** Popular songs, Classic rock songs, Cinema Scores, Praise/Worship music, Standard classical piano works
