I started guitar lessons at seven. From the beginning, playing the guitar has always been about having fun. My teacher gave me the freedom to progress at my own pace and to enjoy every minute of it. My vision is that you as my student will find fun and enjoyment through playing the guitar.

In high school I studied music theory and in college I pursued my love for theory by taking classes in Fingerboard Theory, theory specific to the guitar. I will bring to your lessons my love for the theory behind the music. I also took guitar styles classes in Blues and Bluegrass. I prepared to teach by taking courses in Guitar Pedagogy or in other words how to teach guitar. Taking these classes has taken my playing to a new level. I have been in Master Classes with several great musicians including John Scofield, Rick Drumm (President of D’darrio), and Steve Kovalcheck.

I have been taking lessons with David over Skype for a few months. It has been amazing—he gives me exercises to practice during the week, shows me how to play songs that I request, and has taken my guitar skills to a whole new level. I'm really excited to continue learning from him.
