The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is a membership association of more than 480,000 US composers, songwriters, lyricists and music publishers. The ASCAP is committed to nurturing music makers throughout their careers. 

For two years I worked at a private elementary school in Boston, MA in their music department. While at the school I worked mostly with kids from ages 5-11.

Since I was in high school I have worked extensively as a freelance guitar teacher. I have worked with students with special needs, many different genre interests, and levels of expertise.

I have basic piano for the past few years at schools and as a freelance teacher. I like to start out very slow and develop a firm sense of how the keyboard works with every student, while simultaneously using music theory in a very approachable way. There are many different books I have used but every student is different and has a unique learning pattern. I do not believe in a "cookie cutter" teaching model, and I think everyone deserves a curriculum based on their needs and interests.

My name is Dave, I am a 24 year old guitar player from from Houston, TX. I have been playing guitar for 12 years and have been performing since I was 15 years old and have shared stages all around the country with many artists including Willie Nelson and Annie Lenox.
     I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2013 with a degree in professional music. While in school I focused on songwriting, performance, and education while consistently performing and teaching along side my classwork. I have worked with students of all age, level of expertise, and genre of interest. I look forward to working with you!

David is amazing!  He taught my daughter guitar and she adored him, thanks to his influence she continues to be an enthusiastic guitar player.  David also taught "Rock Band" consisting of 4, 6 year old girls!  The band misses David but continues to perform.  Not only is David an accomplished musician, he is a great teacher.

Dave is an excellent teacher. The kids love working with him, he's extremely attentive, thoughtful, creative and has the perfect mix of professionalism, leadership and fun. We were so sad to lose home as a teacher, but he even made sure to recommend another great musician friend to us that has also been excellent.
