Oboe with Daniel S.

Hello! My name is Daniel Shin, and I'm a freshman at Emory University. I'm currently studying Music Performance at Emory University and participate as the Principal Oboist in the Symphony Orchestra. I've learned oboe under James Riggs and Julia DeRosa for many years, oboists who earned their masters in Oboe Performance from Julliard under the instruction of Elaine Douvas. I have a strong passion for both classical music and the oboe, as the two are inseparable. I hope that whoever I teach, I can instill within them the same love for music in an enjoyable and fulfilling way! As I've done countless auditions for All-state/All-regional/All-Shore ensembles and have succeeded in them, I have a lot of experience and knowledge on exactly what you need to be successful with your audition.
