Trumpet with Daniel S.

I have over 20 years of teaching experience from beginner level all the way to advanced. I have taught not only trumpet, but also music theory and music reading. I have a Music Performance degree from Rowan University where I was the principal trumpet player for the University Orchestra, lead trumpet player for the Jazz band and First trumpet player for the concert band. I also played solo cornet for a Civil War band for over 20 years. My musical experience includes playing for local Latin bands, Top 40 bands, as well as High School musical pit orchestras, and community events. I've taught children as young as 10 years old and adults over 65. My teaching techniques emphasize on tonal quality as well as the upper register, and proper breathing techniques. I teach diverse genres ranging from Classical to Latin. I do my best to tailor my teaching style to the students needs and strengths. Every first lesson will include an assessment of the student's musical level and ability to determine the pace of the lessons and teaching style.
