Hello! I’ve been playing guitar for nine years now and teaching for a little over four years. For the past six years, I’ve been the lead electric guitarist in my church’s band. I’ve also been involved in multiple nationally ranked choirs and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2016. I’m also the lead guitarist in a singer-songwriter trio called Two Beards and a Boy. We’ve played at city events, fundraisers, and restaurants in the DFW area.
My love for music has played a huge role in my life, and I love sharing this passion with my students. Nothing beats the excitement of a student as they’re able to play their first song. Whether you are wanting to learn how to perform, compose music, or play your favorite song, I promise to help you achieve your goal.
I’ve taught a variety of ages, and I truly believe it's never too early or late to learn an instrument. I make sure to structure each student’s lessons to fit their goals and needs. I ensure to focus solely on what the student is wanting to learn. All of my lessons are designed to be fun and educational, and the student is in complete control. I have been working with children and youth for many years through the Upward Sports program, and I love building connections with all of my students to create a comfortable and fun learning environment.
As a college student at UT, I am very flexible with scheduling, so feel free to contact me about available times for lessons. I hope to hear from you soon, and please let me know if you have any questions!
I'm a member of a singer-songwriter trio. We have written and performed multiple original songs in the DFW area.
I played guitar and helped lead the children's and main worship service.
I was a member of Martin High School's varsity choir all four years of high school. We performed at multiple state-level competitions, fundraisers, and Carnegie Hall.

Even though it was my first lesson, Daniel came prepared with exactly the kinds of things I want to learn. And he’s very encouraging!
Daniel did such an amazing job working with my son on his electric guitar lessons!
From a parent's perspective, he charged a very reasonable rate, he was willing to work with our schedules, and his communication with me was both timely and professional.
My son loved working with Daniel because, while he did dedicate time to teaching my son the fundamentals, he also allowed my son to bring in pieces of music that were self-selected. Being able to learn excerpts from his favorite songs really motivated my son to pick up his guitar instead of his XBox controller!
I highly recommend Daniel as a teacher. He is knowledgable, encouraging, and passionate about music in a way that is contagious. We wish he still lived close enough to us to continue lessons!
Daniel is a patient and kind teacher. He has a gift for playing the guitar and for teaching it. He is a natural leader and teacher. We highly recommend Daniel for any guitar lessons.
Daniel is a phenomenal musician- he is a rare combination of technical excellence and musical expression. He is remarkable at working with students of all ages-patient and kind and communicates well. He is also both reliable and responsible.
Daniel is an excellent teacher. He gave my 13 year old son lessons. He kept him engaged. Was able to keep him focused. With the ability to progress. If not for Daniel moving off to college I would still be using him to give lessons to my son.
Daniel taught my son guitar. My son learned so much from him in that time. He is a wonderful teacher and person.
Daniel taught our son and our son truly grew in his musical talent. Daniel challenged our son and encouraged him to pick music he wanted to learn. Frankly we are sad he is in Austin now but are excited for his next journey!
Daniel has been great. I'm in my 50's and am just now starting out with guitar. Daniel has been very patient with me and worked hard to find ways to teach me so that it made sense to me. I was able to learn at my pace and be able to play songs I wanted to learn. I would definitely recommend him.+ Read More
