Hello fellow music lovers, Music is one of the biggest defining factors of who I am. Growing up with two professional musicians as parents, it was never uncommon to hear the sounds of live instruments floating through the house. I took off running with the piano around age 3. From there I picked up the clarinet, saxophone, flute, and percussion. Like most of us, it is hard to take lessons from the people closest to us, so my parents enrolled me in private lessons with Mrs. Shackles. Picture this: a tall, lively, beautiful woman like resembled something of Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus. She made learning music so incredible fun, light, and enjoyable, and I've carried her practices with me ever since. Like Ms. Shackles, I believe in making my private lessons a safe space for beginner and intermediate piano students. I apply creative ways of learning music theory with playing the piano in order to keep my students engaged and eager to learn more. Specializing in piano, I can teach anything from basic pop chords up to classical training and ear training. Please do not hesitate to reach out for more information.
