I believe that guitar lessons are a learning experience for both the student and the teacher. Learning with me will be insightful, it will challenge you, but most of all, it will be fun. I want you to look back on these lessons not as a class or a course of study. You should remember them as a fun experience, a creative space, and a time to be yourself. My past and current students would confirm that I present the guitar in an understandable and practical way, relevant to each person's experience. Music should not be some mysterious enigma that only a select few can understand. Music is something that anyone can do! Music is meant to be enjoyed! We'll start by focusing on some basic important techniques that quickly build to playing chords and full songs. My favorite way of doing things is for the student to request songs to learn, and then I teach the techniques needed to get you to play those songs. That's how I learned, and it makes the process educational and enjoyable.
