Dan is a fantastic guitar teacher, talented songwriter and musician, and is also a wonderful person. I’ve known Dan for more than two decades and learned so much from my lessons with him. He is a patient teacher with extensive experience in a range of guitar styles. In addition to Dan’s expert technique, I really appreciate his versatility. He knows how to play everything from classical music to classic rock, folk, etc. Dan will teach you a variety of styles, depending on your interests. He is very open minded and looks to help you learn the type of music that you are passionate about. I even brought in recordings of songs I heard along the way – and no matter what it was, he could listen to song and figure out how to play it very quickly. Then, he would write down the music so I could practice it at home and would work with me to learn the song.

A master of finger style guitar, Dan has lots of helpful tips to improve your practice – even how to trim your fingernails to produce the smoothest sound and feel to the strings. He is patient and has a really positive, encouraging attitude that makes the lessons really fun. I also appreciate that Dan is involved in the local music scene and has experience playing solo and with a band.

If you are looking for a guitar teacher – whether you’re a beginner or someone who has been playing for years -- I highly recommend taking lessons from Dan.
