Drums with Dan A.

Dan recently graduated SUNY Oneonta with Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry with Minors in both Audio Production and Percussion Performance. As a drummer, Dan has played in many different ensembles, including the SUNY Oneonta Jam Band, Percussion Ensemble, R&B Band, Zappa Band, and the Hartwick/Oneonta Rock Orchestra. Dan has also performed with nationally renowned Poetry Slam artist Regie Gibson, as well as various musical productions on campus, including Spring Awakening in the spring of 2014. Dan has also played in the Capital Region’s Empire State Youth Orchestras for 4 years, and was selected as a NYSSMA All-state Alternate in the Spring of 2009 and 2010. Dan has also played in his high school’s jazz band, orchestra, wind ensemble, and pep band. In the spring of 2012, Dan was voted President of the SUNY Oneonta Drag ‘N Rolls Drumline. Dan is also a member of the Audio Production Engineering Club and Music Industry Club. Dan is currently in the Classical Percussion Ensemble and has been taking marimba and drumset lessons with Dr. Julie Licata and Blake Fleming. Dan has also studied under Dr. Joe Pignato, Richard Albagli, John Antonio, and drummer Joey Pucci from Joey Pucci and the American Longboards. A lifelong musician, Dan first became interested in video production when searching for more appealing ways of showcasing his talents. This led to the creation of his YouTube channel and online alias, DrumsetDan13. With currently over 2 million views and over 2,000 subscribers, Dan continues to produce engaging and entertaining percussion music videos in order to spread the art of drumming around the world.
