Overview

I have been playing guitar for over 25 years and teaching for 18 years. During this time I have taught all ages and experience levels, from beginner to advanced. I believe that learning to play guitar should be fun. If you're not enjoying it then why do it? I also believe that every student is different and learns differently so I try and structure my lessons and style to the student.

I have a bachelors degree in music, with an emphasis in classical guitar. But I really love to rock! My personal favorite style is rock guitar and I have played live and in studio with various different bands over the past couple decades. Although that's my style yours may be different and I am comfortable and experienced in teaching many different styles, from classical, acoustic, country and jazz.

My goal in teaching is to inspire my students to love music and love playing guitar.

I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. As an adult beginner I was intimidated to start something new. Damon made me feel completely comfortable that I would be able to achieve my goal in playing guitar. Lessons were simple and to my personal ability. I love that he even gave me tips on how to motivate myself to keep practicing outside of lessons.
