Soul, Passion & Power. Singer/Songwriter CriStyle Renae embodies them all. The South Florida native’s magnetic vocals are infused with a special soulfulness…and it comes naturally. Over the years she has honed her talent to become an artist who reflects the same love, light and warmth that her vocals resonate. CriStyle relishes the connection formed between an artist and the audience. She lives to perform live. “Performing is a communion, a sharing of energy and love. There is nothing like being able to fully express your art and give the audience a piece of you”, she relates. CriStyle’s presence on the music scene is undeniable. She graces stages with her special performance style and passion for the gift of music and song. She has opened for music legends Charlie Wilson, Michael McDonald, Regina Belle and more at the Jazz in the Gardens Music Festival. CriStyle has also opened for and performed background vocals with R&B/Soul legends Angie Stone and Tweet. She has numerous videos online and her album, Signature of Love is available on most digital music outlets. So that is my artist bio! Now, as a vocal teacher, I am energetic, engaged and attentive to my students. I aim to make lessons educational and fun! Confidence is key and through my special teaching methods I help students to establish and build confidence and comfort in their singing and performance abilities. I believe that singing is not only a physical act and that it involves many mental aspects that can either create barriers or provide for more freedom of musical expression. In my lessons, we approach these aspects as well as core technical skills like effective warm-ups, proper breathing, placement, diction, etc. I listen carefully to my student's concerns and goals.
