Corie is not only a world class musician, but also a world class teacher. Her approach is very thoughtful and she will tailor your lessons to best fit your child's needs and growth (and she teaches adults too). Her warmth, personal investment in the student, and great sense of humor makes lessons both engaging and fun. She loves kids of all ages and is someone you can count on. If you are ready to work hard and want a teacher that will be able to open all sorts of amazing musical opportunities to you, this is the teacher for you. Studying with Corie is a great opportunity and I wholeheartedly recommend lessons with her!

Corie was my daughter's first private violin teacher, and she was the perfect foundation for not just the love of the instrument but also the precise technique and skills needed to develop a true musician. Even years later, my daughter's current teachers are impressed with the solid foundation she received under Corie's tutelage. Corie made learning a challenging instrument fun at an age-appropriate level without giving up on any high standards. Whether it was learning to read music, developing ear and intonation, or perfecting a bow hold, Corie had multiple ways to teach, to address habits and difficulties, and to share experiences with the larger studio in group lessons. We still use her teaching reminders and phrases during practices sessions. With Corie's violin lessons, you get more than just basic instruction; you get a well-rounded introduction to true musicianship.
