My name is Corbett, and I have been eating, breathing, sleeping, and living music for my entire life! I was born to musical parents, and after having gone through Cleveland State University for cello performance, and also picking up the bass, and the guitar in my teen years,I struck out on my own to play in various original music projects around Cleveland, and touring across the country! From classical,to metal,to reggae,to jazz-fusion,I have had over 20 years of performance experience, and almost 15 years of teaching experience! So come check me out!
I have held my own teaching studio out of my home, and at different music studios for over 14 years.I have also had experience in coaching chamber ensembles at the Cleveland Music School Settlement's summer string camp.
As director of worship arts at my church,I decided to get more practical education in the Bible, and received my associates degree through the International School of Ministry.
I have been taking lessons with Corbett for over 8 years. He's very knowledgeable about what he teaches, and conveys his lessons clearly so no matter what age I was, I knew how to do what we were going over. He's friendly and easy to get along with, and I've never felt that I wasn't learning something or getting the best lesson with him. Corbett's a great choice for a teacher for anyone from beginner to advanced.+ Read More
My daughter has been taking cello lesson with Corby for approximately 4 years.
Corby is very knowledgeable and inspiring. My daughter has become more confident in her school orchestra program with the help that she has received from Corby.
Super knowledgeable, cool, frustratingly skilled. Bring him something cool and he'll figure it out in a few minutes as you then struggle for a month to get it. Been going to see him nearly 10 years or so and is worth every penny.
I was so excited when I purchased my new acoustic guitar and had a great time learning the basics from my guitar instructor Corbett Hein. He is a super fun and laid back dude who clearly knows music and has a awesome gift to teach. He would always be so patient and encouraging towards me and would show me unique and simple ways to play and memorize chords. I learned so much through his training and would recommend anyone looking for a great instructor to find Corbett! He's amazing!+ Read More
While Corbet makes learning an instrument very fun, he's very professional and takes pride in his work. We went over my goals, per his request, and since then I notice he keeps record of my progress toward those goals. He is very knowledgeable, and it is instantly apparent during your first lesson. I recommend him to anyone interested in learning.+ Read More
My 13 year old son has been taking bass guitar lessons with Corby for two years, and we couldn't be happier! His musical choices are right on target, always presenting new challenges, and he also gives my son the opportunity to choose his own music, keeping him engaged. Corby is patient and easy-going, and I would definitely recommend him!+ Read More
Corbett is the most wonderful teacher I've ever had the pleasure to learn from. He is skilled, kind, easy to get along with, and extremely experienced. During my 8 years of taking lessons from Corbett I felt like I gained a lot of knowledge in guitar and bass playing, as well as different genres of music in general. Highly recommend working with Corbett!+ Read More
