I am a current Berklee College of Music student majoring in Performance and Jazz Composition. I have been teaching lessons for 3 years now for various instruments at various levels. In my opinion a strong understanding of the basics which can be built upon is key to mastering your instrument. To me, the most important aspects of our lessons is the student having fun. Happiness and joy with one's instrumental journey is what keeps the journey going. Being forced into a slog of a time where you only play what you don't enjoy leads to you not enjoying your instrument. Our lessons will be the same way. We will of course cover fundamentals to playing your instrument but the main focus will be playing and learning what you want to. However you'd like to enjoy your music is however I will teach you.
