Saxophone with Cole P.

I am a 4th year undergraduate jazz studies major at NYU - I specialize in teaching improvisational concepts, jazz theory, tune-learning methods, and extended techniques to intermediate and advanced students: if you struggle playing in the altissimo register, I am the teacher for you! In our lessons, I will assign you exercises and repertoire that I believe to be crucial to your growth as a saxophonist and musician, while taking into consideration what you would like to work on as well. Students should expect to be practicing at least 3 hours a day while studying with me. I can also give students great audition advice - in high school, I was accepted in to NYO Jazz, Jazz Band of America, and the NAfME All-National Honor Jazz Ensemble, and have since taught students that have been accepted into those programs.
