I am a professional keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter currently based in Chicago, IL. As an independent artist I have released 4 albums of original music and perform regularly around the country with my own band. As a touring musician/recording session player, I have also worked with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Gallant, Brett Dennen, Lupe Fiasco, Dave Shaw (of The Revivalists), Dave King (of The Bad Plus), Meshell N'Degeocello, and was also featured on the Latin Grammy-winning album Fantastico by Lucky Diaz and the Grammy-nominated album Ology by Gallant. I have been studying piano since the age of 4, and by the age of 16 was playing in jazz clubs around my hometown Chicago, while also competing regularly in classical piano competitions. I went on to receive a degree from Berklee College of Music where I studied with the likes of Danilo Perez and Joanne Brackeen. Since then I have performed in 14 countries and 38 states, and recorded on hundreds of musical projects. All that to say, my many years of performing professionally has made me a very versatile musician with a love and curiosity for all styles of music. I really enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with my students. I would say that I am an easy going guy but also appreciate the discipline and passion involved in learning a new instrument. For me, the greatest joy of teaching music is when the student and I can both inspire each other simultaneously.
