While self-defense techniques are often the first thought in choosing Taekwondo, most students quickly discover the healthy fitness, positive attitudes and mental sharpness that come from physical training.  I have been actively teaching Taekwondo on a professional level since 1971.  Currently I am a 9th Degree Black belt with credentials from the World Taekwondo Headquarters and the State of California.  I have been teaching Taekwondo a a physical education course at American River College since 1990.
