Music is a gift! I love singing and find joy in seeing others discover their voices for the first time. My background is a variety of classical, gospel & contemporary Christian, choral performance and some theater.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music with an emphasis on Choral Studies from the University of TX of the Permian Basin. One of the highlights of my college journey is singing at Carnegie Hall in NYC. I have also been a member of the Singing Women of Texas for 14 years. My training in vocal studies includes a variety of instruction and I love sharing what I have been blessed to learn over the years.
I have been teaching kids choirs at my church for four years. The children have performed at church and at community events. Our most recent musical, "God of This City" was the finale of a week long music camp in July '18.
I serve as a vocal coach for the local High School Choir. We are currently preparing for Texas All-State Choir Auditions.
I am blessed to be the Assistant Worship Leader at my church. I also lead the Adult Choir and participate in our Hand Bell Choir.
I believe music can be a beautiful form of expression and communication. Singing gives us a way to release tension, express a variety of emotion and entertain. Whether you are preparing for an audition or a performance, or maybe you just want to improve your vocal skills, I would love to share my knowledge and experience with you!
My primary responsibilities are assisting the worship leader with Sunday worship and preparing the media for the week. I also lead the adult choir and kids choirs!
As a part-time vocal coach, I assist the local High School Choir with pull-out voice lessons to prepare them for All-State auditions.
