An active performer, composer, and teaching artist, Chung Him has over 7 year’s experience in music teaching, program innovation, and syllabus development.
Chung moved to Rexburg to study music at BYU-Idaho with an emphasis in piano performance and communication in 2012.
While he was in college, Jeffrey performed for numerous campus events and devotionals; he also played for the Jazz Lab Band, Collegiate Singers, Men’s Choir Women’s Choir and Women’s Glee.
Chung started learning the piano at the age of 6 and the cello at the age of 10. As a young musician, he toured Malaysia as a cellist in 2007 and won different awards with the Hong Kong musical festival.
During his LDS mission in Toronto, Canada, he was chosen to perform for Elder Russell M Ballard and had played with famous violinist Jeremy Ferland. He is currently pursuing his music degree in Rexburg and residing in Idaho Falls with his lovely wife Hailey.
Chung loves working with families with young children. He enjoys strengthening family bonds while introducing children to a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
Chung and his wife are currently residing in TX and attending law school.
