I have taught guitar lessons since 1992. Guitar is my main instrument, and I have played for well over 30 years. I have also studied voice, piano, and composition. Styles of performance have included blues, classical, funk, grunge, jazz, metal, and rock. I've performed solo, in bands, small ensembles, and even with orchestras.

Most of all, I'm a father to two wonderful young ladies who challenge me to grow in ways I could never have imagined. They give me patience.

About Christopher P.

Hi, my name is Chris, and I teach guitar lessons. I am a musician with a variety of interests including guitar, song writing, music production, and just generally rocking out!

Guitar is my main instrument, though I have studied voice, piano, composition, and have performed extensively. Styles of performance have included blues, classical, funk, grunge, jazz, metal, and rock. I've performed solo, in bands, small ensembles, and even with orchestras.

I studied Music Composition and Music Merchandising at Eastern Washington University (EWU), and graduated in 1996 with a BA in Music Merchandising, cum laude. I received a full ride scholarship, and attended the Berklee School of Music Summer Session in Guitar Performance in 1994. I also have a Commercial Music/Jazz Studies Degree from Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) with honors (1992).

What makes Guitar lessons with me unique? Experience, education, and patience. I have taught music lessons on the South Hill, in Spokane Washington, for 25 years, and now online too! Guitar is my main instrument, and I have played for well over 30 years. I have also studied voice, piano, and composition. Most of all, I'm a father to two wonderful young ladies who challenge me to grow in ways I could never have imagined. They give me my patience.

My approach to teaching is student focused. What I mean is that I am able to be flexible and teach to the students needs rather than a rigid plan, though I do have one available for you to follow. The most important thing is that your questions are answered, and you have fun learning about music, and guitar.

Been taking lessons from Chris since I was in my forties. Still enjoying it, twenty years later. I always feel that I am getting full value and would recommend him to anyone.
