SCMEA also hosts a PEAK (Parents, Educators, And Kids) Festival for classroom music teachers and students in grade 4, and “Day Of” Festivals in Jazz, Percussion, Recorder, Horn, and Tuba. In addition to offering professional development opportunities for our members, SCMEA serves as an advisory board to local school systems and awards numerous music scholarships to students of Suffolk County school music programs.
