a global community of music educators who are committed to inspiring the next generation of lifelong musicians. Our program provides music teachers with access to resources and other tools to help support their role in education. The Education Collective will grow to include opportunities to network with other teachers, share your knowledge and content, and attend special educational events. Our goal is to support those that support the future of music.
International Horn Society
Since 1970, The International Horn Society (IHS) has been an organization of people from around the world drawn together with a mutual interest in the horn. We are dedicated to the performance, teaching, composition, research, preservation, and promotion of the horn as a musical instrument.
Music Teachers National Association
The MTNA was founded in 1876 with the goal of advancing the value of music study and music-making to society while supporting the careers and professionalism of teachers of music. With nearly 22,000 members in 50 states—and more than 500 local affiliates—the MTNA is the preeminent source for music teacher support, where members embody like-minded values and commitment to their students, colleagues and society as a whole, while reaping the rewards of collaboration, continuity and connection throughout the lifetime of their careers.
Suffolk County Music Educators Association
SCMEA sponsors and organizes numerous All County Music Festivals (Band, Orchestra and Chorus) each year for students in grades 5-10. SCMEA also hosts a PEAK (Parents, Educators, And Kids) Festival for classroom music teachers and students in grade 4, and “Day Of” Festivals in Jazz, Percussion, Recorder, Horn, and Tuba. In addition to offering professional development opportunities for our members, SCMEA serves as an advisory board to local school systems and awards numerous music scholarships to students of Suffolk County school music programs.
New York State Band Directors Association
Throughout the years, NYSBDA has earned the reputation of being the pre-eminent representative professional association for band directors in New York State and the Annual Symposium has come to be recognized as the leading professional development conference for band directors.
National Band Association
The National Band Association, founded on September 11, 1960, is the largest professional organization for bands in the world. It was organized for the purpose of promoting the musical and educational significance of bands and is dedicated to the attainment of a high level of excellence for bands and band music. NBA is an organization open to anyone and everyone interested in bands, regardless of the length of experience, type of position held, or the specific level at which one works. The membership roster includes men and women from every facet of the band world. NBA is today’s professional organization for band directors, and it stands ready to serve all members of the association through a variety of projects and initiatives.
National Association for Music Education
Founded in 1907, NAfME is among the world’s largest arts education organizations. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers.

Members of our association are a dedicated group of teachers and educational professionals who believe in the value of a quality music education taught by qualified music educators.
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America (also known as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Phi Mu Alpha, or simply Sinfonia) is an American collegiate social fraternity for men with a special interest in music. The fraternity is open to men &quot;who, through a love for music, can assist in the fulfillment of [its] Object and ideals either by adopting music as a profession, or by working to advance the cause of music in America.&quot;
New York State Music Teachers Association
NYSMTA is dedicated to furthering the art of music and promoting the growth and professional development of its members. It seeks to enhance the educational and performance expertise in all areas of music teaching, including performance, pedagogy, theory, and composition. In addition to the Annual Conference, Local Associations throughout the state sponsor musical and educational events of specific interest to those in their communities.
