Learn Classical, Jazz or Rock Piano

When learning piano with me, I will guide you with experience from multiple background gained over a decade. I have taught at public and private schools, and I have been teaching online since before COVID-19. I have gained a breadth of experience due to the variety of instruments I play, languages I speak, and environments I've taught in, and I feel confident that I am equipped to help all students young and old with any of their musical goals. I guide my students by helping them understand the fundamentals of everything they are doing and how they can independently apply those fundamentals to a variety of contexts. My goal is for my students to be independent thinkers and learners, and for me to guide them through their independent learning processes.

    About christopher C.

My name is Christopher. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music with emphases in Piano Performance, and Music Theory and Composition, and a minor in French Literature. I have taught music in public high schools, private conservatories and online. I have been teaching piano since 2012, and I haven't stopped since. I have a passion for developing my students into not only musicians, but also independent thinkers who can learn more about music outside the classroom. I have performed in Europe, the United States, and Canada, and I am from New Orleans which has given me valuable insight on how to teach Jazz and Rock piano in addition to standard classical piano. My teaching experience is greatly enhanced by the diversity of my musical background: I am also a classically trained vocalist, and percussionist. I've taught marching band and conducted choirs in addition to piano, and I bring all of this experience into my piano lessons.
