My teaching method is based on creating a non-intimidating, fun, patient environment for the student. I work to gauge each students needs and personal learning style, and focus on giving encouragement as well as tips and techniques to move forward fast. The important thing is to make it simple and fun so the joy of music comes through early on! I feel strongly on focusing on the students short-term and long-term goals to facilitate student mastery.

Chris Elliott is an Award-winning Banjo performer and educator in Denver Colorado. Chris has performed internationally with bands such as The Blue Canyon Boys, Ragged Union, Chain Station and is an alum of Spring Creek on Rebel Records. Chris is currently performing in his progressive Banjo Trio Foggy Mountain Spaceship. Chris has been teaching Banjo for over 20 years and has taught Banjo Camps and Workshops around the world. Elliott has studied Banjo at South Plains College under the instruction of Bluegrass Banjo legend Alan Munde. He has also worked closely with Pete Wernick in Colorado as his jam camp assistant. Chris is a winner of 2007 Telluride and Rockygrass Band Competition and is the 2007 Colorado state Banjo contest winner. Chris has also played Banjo in Steve Martins prestigious Broadway Musical Brightstar. With his passion for teaching Banjo, Chris is dedicated to passing the things he has learned on to his students!
