Cello with Charlotte F.

My interest in teaching developed from elementary school. My mother was an influence as a private music teacher. i studied music education through my college years; my undergraduate studies were in California at the University of Redlands. I also included a minor study of the cello which later became my major study for the Master of Music degree at Yale University and the Doctor of Music degree at the University of Arizona. My doctoral minor was in music education and also included extensive courses in Spanish. I lived and worked in Mexico with a symphony orchestra for three years. I taught string classes throughout my career. After retirement I taught Spanish to elementary students. I have great patience with students and take great pride in watching them grow in their chosen field of study. I analyze individual interests to assist in choosing music each student will enjoy. I teach all levels of cello and beginning to intermediate levels of violin and piano.
