I'm all about fun. I believe traditional music tuition can often stifle creativity by quickly getting the student bogged down in technicalities. Everyone knows someone who gave up on learning an instrument (maybe you even did) and it's such a shame! My approach is to put the inherent fun and playfulness of music at the centre of everything. I believe if you instil true musical enthusiasm in a child then they will naturally find the discipline they need to tackle any technical challenges they face. Thus, I aim to get the student enjoying their instrument as quickly as possible, to be able to play something fun for themselves or with with me or with one of their peers. Music is a language, a mode of communication, so to do it in confinement is, I believe, against the nature of the beast. Let's pick an instrument and start having fun with it! I am a musician, comedian, and visual artist here in LA. Born and raised in London I moved to California for university and have stayed put ever since. I am a highly energetic, enthusiastic young man who finds passing musical knowledge onto kids the most rewarding work there is (it's so much better than adults, Im afraid to say). Their naturally rich imaginations make for wonderful students and I am continually astounded by their ability to create beautiful music. When I'm not making music I'm in a comedy club making people laugh or at home painting silly pictures. My other interests are fashion, theatre, fine art, food, and people.
