Teaching since:

I am a professional classical piano teacher for over 20 years in San Gabriel, CA. My goal is to put a confident smile to each student at the end of each lesson.

I have a Bachelor degree from Eastman School of Music and a Master degree form UCLA. Currently, I am a piano judge for MTAC

Being members of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) and National Piano Guild, I prepare students for Certificate of Merit (CM) and National Guild piano evaluations.

My students share their music at schools, recitals and senior home.

I look forward to meet you!

I took piano lessons with Ms.Charlene for 13 years. I started my lessons with her at a very young age when I was in kindergarten. My piano journey with Ms.Charlene is an experience I will treasure forever. She is very kind, nurturing, patient and professional. She taught me musical skills that enabled me to perform confidently at recitals and complete my Advanced level CM piano evaluation. I am proud that I can pick up any piece of music and play with ease. I also volunteer to perform regularly in a hospital for patients. It brings me joy to share music with others and its all thanks to my teacher Ms.Charlene.

Miss Charlene was my piano teacher for 11 years, guiding me through the rigorous Certificate of Merit program for piano. I am so grateful to this day for her patience, kind and understanding nature, and overall expertise and knowledge. She inspired me to teach music myself, as well as pursue music as a creative passion to this day. She truly cares for all her students and I can't recommend her enough!

I was very shy was I started piano lessons with Ms. Charlene. Over the years, the musical skills I learned transformed me to a confident person who enjoys playing in front of an audience. At 10th grade, Ms. Charlene encouraged me to take the Advanced level Panel CM competition. That was a memorable experience! Now, I share my joy of playing piano by volunteering at church for many events.
