Welcome to my Online Studio! I have taught for many years (since 1973) -- Violin, Viola, Cello and even String Bass. I have also directed String and Symphonic Orchestras, Strolling Strings, small group instruction, and have brought many students to all levels of district, regional, county , All State, All Eastern Orchestras. I have also adjudicated NY State Certified solo performances and competitions in Pennsylvania. When teaching at high school level, I was fortunate to be able to take my Strolling Strings students across the U.S. to Canada and even to Europe (1996) with my amazing Empire State State Strolling Strings group. I am looking forward to assisting new students in achieving their goals and kindling their love for music and their instrument. I have also maintained a private string studio for many years. I received my training from Ithaca College, School of Music (1973) and the University of Bridgeport, Ct (1976) in Music and Fine Arts. I look forward to helping new students (and old students alike) in providing a solid music education background which is supportive and tailored to each student's needs. We learn basics such as note reading, proper bow and left hand technique, music theory, shifting, vibrato and much more. -- Hoping you will join me in providing your child (or yourself-adult) with a professional, pleasant and positive experience!
