I have been called a drummer's drummer, meaning other drummers often come to see me play and enjoy my unique approach to the drum set. They often even come to take lessons with me to learn to be more creative. While creativity and having my own voice on the drums has always been my strong suit, i am also a professionally trained drummer. I believe in having good technique - even if you don't know you're learning it at first. I believe in learning to play songs exactly as they were recorded before improvising. You can only be as creative as your least developed skill. I have been playing the drums since I was a wee lad and fell in love instantly.
