When our son was nine, Cedar was home from Tulane for the summer(s) and instructed our son on drums for two consecutive summers. Cedar is a very accomplished musician and his ability to work with students no matter the skill level, combined with his knowledge, patience, and passion, is tireless. Cedar knew how to engage and encourage our son, while keeping the lessons fun, but challenging. It is evident that Cedar enjoys working with kiddos and has a natural talent for connecting with not only young students, but adults as well. Our son is now in his senior year at a fine arts school, where he is in his third year of visual arts, and his second year of jazz performance and jazz theory. Cedar continues to be an inspiration as well as a mentor to our son.

Cedar is the BEST instructor!!! My son Mason since he was a little boy always wanted to play the drums. Once Mason reached elementary school, Cedar began to teach Mason Music Theory and drum lessons. It was the best decision we ever made! Cedar has taught Mason so very much and the past 5 years have been wonderfully spent knowing that my son is being taught by one of the best teachers around. Cedar has a very kind, gentle and talented spirit and we consider Cedar as part of our family. Mason, who is now 14 years old, has excelled in the music world and now plays the drums, guitar and piano and it's all due to Cedar flourishing Mason with the richness of the love of music that he shares with his students.
