About Cassandra P.

5.0
(4)
I have been teaching and singing 7 genres of music for the past 11 years! Currently, I am Miss Music City in the Miss America Organization living in Nashville, Tennessee. I work to bridge the gap between classical and contemporary music for vocalists. The techniques are much closer than they seem! While I trained in classical voice for opera, I sing and teach pop, jazz, r&b, musical theater, and healthy belting techniques too. With a healthy instrument, you can sing any genre! Great technique leaves the sky as your limit! I've been a national award winning classical vocalist graduating from New England Conservatory and have gone on to record and release 14 original songs and perform them at festivals and pageants across America while currently obtaining my Masters in Music Business from Berklee College of Music Online. *** Studio Equipment *** Electric keyboard, video camera with profession-level sound, MacBook, speakers. *** Travel Equipment *** Portable keyboard, laptop, recording capabilities. *** Specialties *** I trained classically as an opera singer but performed in musicals and began training in jazz and r&b before starting my pop artist and songwriter career. I am passionate about helping my students develop a foundation that allows them to seamlessly transition between genres without risking vocal damage or health. I have significant experience with singing in German, French, Italian, and Spanish and encourage my students to sing in other languages as well.

Teacher's studio
It's not every day you get to take lessons from a celebrity! Cassandra's lessons are packed with focused feedback that is relatable no matter where you are currently at. She is a rare practitioner who understands both the classical and contemporary (pop) repertoire. Many classical artists teach, few master the art of teaching. From lesson intake to specific warmups tailored to your needs, Cassandra has been phenominal. You can tell in your lessons she truly cares about her students' success!
