Hello! My name is Carly. Watching my students overcome challenges and develop their own musicality is what makes this the best job in the world. I truly believe that anyone can learn music just like anyone can learn a language. I most enjoy meeting new people and discovering what they're passionate about as well as how they learn best. I pride myself on my problem solving skills, positive attitude, patience, resourcefulness, and creativity. As of March 20th 2020, I will only be offering lessons online. I hope to soon be able to offer in person lessons again out of my home studio in Laurel, MD to those close enough to commute to my location.

Carly makes lessons interesting and fun for my 10 year old son. My son is high energy, and yet he is able to concentrate, focus and enjoy! We plan to continue lessons on line with Carly during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Carly is an amazing teacher. I've been her student for about a year and a half now and I have learned so much from her. She's the kind of teacher who helps you understand the lesson through various ways to truly make you get it. I have learned quite a number of songs that I have always wanted to learn to play but thought I couldn't because the difference in skill was too great. I am a huge fan of Lindsey Stirling and because of Carly, I have learned how to play Take Flight, First Light, Brave Enough, River Flows in You, Hallelujah, Beyond the Veil. Take Flight was the song that made me want to learn the violin and I am ecstatic to say that I can play it. If you decide you want to learn the violin or another instrument that she plays, you can't go wrong with Carly!
