Candis is a great teacher. I can'wait to see her again=)
love harley mase
Very good teacher and cool
I, being an older male adult, can be a little skeptical about wholeheartedly havong trust in taking someone direction when learning something new. Well, my first lesson, basically just getting feel for each other went pleasantly well. I am very much at ease with following Candis lead and I trust I will be able to play the violin well with confidence if i meet her halfway and apply myself. She has a nice personality too.+ Read More
Our first lesson was very good! My daughter responded to her very well and we are looking forward to many more!
My son who is 14 had his first lesson with Candis. I love the online format it worked out really well! She's a very thorough teacher and you can really tell she loves what she does.
Really informative and helped me learn some new things that i didn't know yet :D
Abha, my 7yr old really liked her first Violin lesson with Candis. Candis really knows how to teach the basics of Violin very easily to the young beginner kids. I'll recommend Candis to all my friends.
Candis is a highly professional and passionate educator. Her ability to teach comprehension and foundational skills to young readers is incredibly strong due to her specialized training in some of the nation's most premier charter schools and her ability to teach music is even stronger. Her personal talent combined with her formal experience working as a classroom teacher make her an ideal music teacher for any student. She understands the technicality of her craft and presents it with passion and patience, helping even the most hesitant of students become successful.+ Read More
It was great first Violin Lesson!
Excellent! Very personalized quality instruction.
Amazing fun experiance!
My daughter has been Candis's student for the past 3 months. We have been impressed with the progress our daughter has made both in terms of understanding musical concepts, learning new pieces, and improving her technique. In addition, Candis thoroughly plans out manageable practice schedules, which has immensely helped my daughter practice regularly and independently.+ Read More
We are very happy and lucky to be working with Candis! Excellent instructor!
Candis was a music teacher at my school and was phenomenal. She has deep content knowledge in the music and created a K-4 program in our elementary school. She also is a great teammate and goes above and beyond. I wish she stayed in New Jersey!!
Candis was a phenomenal violin teacher for our daughter she has the patience of a saint, while still being strict in her teaching. She builds a very strong foundation by staying with the basics, until the student has a total grasp on the beginner level, before moving forward. My daughter benefitted greatly from her expertise.
We miss her being near for us to continue lessons! I would completely recommend her for any level of teaching.
I don't know if I can even put into words how much I appreciate Candis as a teacher; she taught me violin for about 5 years before I went to work with another teacher downtown (because she moved away). Unfortunately I don't play the violin anymore, but I can definitely say that she affected me pretty greatly as a teacher and I would absolutely recommend her.+ Read More
Candis is an incredible music teacher. She focuses on each student, assesses what their needs are and throughout her instruction empowers scholars to become independent musicians themselves. Candis is organized, responsible and an exemplar teammate. I've worked with Candis this past year and highly recommend her for an music instruction position. I trust her completely.+ Read More
I came to violin late in life having always wanted to play. I had no illusions of grandeur and wanted to just do it for fun. Candis pushed me but not so hard that it took the fun out of it. In fact, she worked to put fun into it ensuring a great experience for me! I appreciate that she is flexible and willing to modify her approach and style to meet the need/desire of her student. She also provided instruction to my young daughter allowing me to see how differently she approached a youngster. I highly recommend Candis for any kind of instruction...+ Read More
Candis was my first violin teacher, and she started me on a great path. She had the perfect mix of professionalism and fun that would keep my nine-year-old self interested and engaged. I remember having fun discussions about the titles and backgrounds of pieces, and writing a story about one of my pieces. I highly recommend Candis as an instructor!+ Read More
Ms. Parrish is a dedicated teacher. Her students love her and she has a gift for meeting them right where they are and making them feel successful while she keeps them challenged. I don't think that there is much Ms. Parrish couldn't teach my daughter to do!+ Read More
Candis is an excellent teacher!! I co-taught with her for 9 hours daily at a high performing charter school and loved watching her energy. She's especially good at breaking it down and challenging students to try it over and over with a smile until they get it (in different and fun ways!) We worked long hours but she still volunteered her time after school to help her struggling students. This is where she really lit up. She loves one on one and her skills shine of breaking it down and patiently working with students on their individual needs. She is creative and if something doesn't work, she comes up with a new idea without missing a beat. She has done private music lessons and I can imagine her passion for music coinciding with her tutoring strengths. That would be amazing. If I lived close, I'd send my daughter to her!+ Read More
