My first experience teaching took place while a university bachelor. I took on my first students with excitement and falling into teaching was the most comfortable happening. Knowing what was necessary to produce the desired results within myself, teaching became an expansion of self where I solved students' problems as though they were my own. It was as though I myself, was practicing through them until the issue was resolved. This is a style that has been cultivated and honed producing an exact, almost metaphysical science. The type of teaching style I employ calls upon students to take responsibility for their growth as pianists. A holistic approach provides a complete knowledge of music theory without the need for external courses. Students suddenly find themselves with a great wealth of knowledge. This is useful for the pursuant of a professional career as well as a simple hobby. Abroad in Asia, I truly saw my skills as a teacher flourish. Students hungry for pianistic abilities in many regions of that continent flooded my studios. They yearned for confidence in performance and knowledge to control their playing while maintaining expression. It was an absolute joy to witness such desire for improvement and rapid advancement.
