I maintain a current professional teaching license in the state of North Carolina.

I began to study the violin at age 5, and have found great joy in learning music through many different instruments.  I received a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Music Education from UNC Greensboro, I hold a current North Carolina Teaching License, and I have 12+ years teaching experience in the public schools as an elementary orchestra teacher.  I very much enjoy teaching beginners of all ages, and seeing their progress and musical understanding blossom is very fulfilling.  Private lessons give me the chance to really tailor the experience to the student and their individual needs as we build fundamental musicianship.

I am a professional music educator with 12+ years teaching experience in the NC public schools.  I graduated from UNCG with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Education.  I began my own musical journey at age 5, playing the violin.  I have subsequently learned to play many instruments, but marimba became my primary instrument through college.  I currently teach 4th and 5th grade orchestra in Burlington, NC during the day.  I enjoy teaching beginning musicians, and sharing my passion for music with students.
