Oboe

Levels Taught:
Beginner, Intermediate
I did not start off on oboe. Originally I played clarinet and I feel that is what most separates me from other oboe players. I understand what it is like to switch to the difficult instrument and the battles we must face from switching. I am a graduate from Los Osos High School where I was their principal oboe. There I taught 3 underclassmen how to play oboe, all switching from other instruments. Along with this I have also taught music to students under the age of 13 and from this understand that every student is different and that we all will learn at the pases appropriate for each individual. My main goal is to make it enjoyable for each student and to provide an expierence where they want to pick up the instrument and where they are comfortable with the awkwardness of learning a new instrument.

Hi! I am a high school graduate from Los Osos High School. I graduated in the top 10% of my class and have always had a passion for teaching. I am 18 years young and very optimistic. I personally really enjoy seeing those around me prosper and grow and develop skills that will further expand their quality of life. My life has always been filled with music. I am visually impaired but that has only made me a stronger woman. I have been blessed to have been given partial sight and I feel this has allowed me to share my story to others that nothing can stop you from achieving your hopes and dreams. Being visually impaired has helped me in my musical journey. It has shown me the importance of music and how there is nothing in this world that can replace its beauty. I feel eveyone deserve the epierence of music and I hope that I can be an aid to the mission.
