Ukulele with Bruce S.

My name is Bruce and I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I started playing the ukulele since I was 6 years old. The ukulele has always been something special in our family that we’d pick up and play on our free time. Most people that play the ukulele know my older brother, Jake. Being a student of his my whole life kind of helped me understand how to teach from a student’s perspective. I started teaching the ukulele at the age of 17. Since then, I’ve realized that there are a million ways to teach the same thing. I enjoy finding the right ways for each student so the lessons stick with them. I’ve recorded 4 albums and toured around the world. I truly believe that teaching is an art the same way that performing is. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I believe I’ll always be able to connect with a student and have valuable tips and exercises for them.
