** NOTE: Currently accepting beginning/intermediate players who want to learn about pop/jazz chord progressions and how to improvise ** If there's one thing I've learned from getting through state auditions, college exams, and four years of music school it's this: if you're not having fun with music, something needs to change! I truly believe making music is one of the last innocent forms of art we have, and something that can make the difference in how you go about your day. It certainly did for me, which is why I chose to study jazz piano at the Purchase College Conservatory in New York. When my students come to me, we work together to figure out what musical goals they have and how to make their daily practice into something they look forward to! With me you'll learn all the basics in an easy, understandable way through activities on and off the keys. You'll be able to not only play songs that you love the most, but also deeply understand music theory in a way that allows you to make your own compositions and really get creative:) From our first lesson, I aim to give you the confidence in playing any piece or style you choose. I've worked with children as young as three on to older adults who played music years ago and want to get back into it. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
