I am a singer, songwriter, pianist, and arranger native of Birmingham, AL but currently residing in Virginia. I studied music at the University of Mobile, specifically worship leadership, voice, and piano.
I am currently pursuing my masters degree in music education from Liberty University where I am specializing in music theory.
I have been teaching piano lessons since I was in high school, but began teaching vocal lessons during my senior year of college in 2013. I have aided students in preparations for auditions for college scholarships, college ensemble auditions, school musical auditions, as well as a variety of students interested in learning more about singing on various levels.
I have professional experience in performing on various platforms such as musical theater, jazz, classical, choirs, worship, folk, and pop stages. I am happy to teach any genre of music that interests the students while keeping a healthy sound production as a primary goal.
I gear all of my lessons to the needs of the students that I am teaching regarding age, voice type, goals, and any other specific desires of my students. Each of my lessons will be tailored to the needs of the student. Every voice has something unique and beautiful to bring to the table. As a voice teacher, I make it my goal to highlight the beautiful parts of the voice and help the student learn how to manipulate his or her voice in a way that is enjoyable, pleasant to listen to, and healthy.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding lessons with me! I look forward to working with you!
I have been a contracted worship leader hired to various places in and outside of the United States since 2010.
During my time as ensemble director, I auditioned, arranged music, directed, and toured with a group of 11+ ladies from the University of Mobile.
This gave me experience in knowing what college directors are looking for in a vocalist, how voices work together, and the best repertoire for different singers.
