I graduated Cum Laude from New York University, where I received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar Performance. I have performed all styles of music on club dates, college shows, concerts, and recording dates.
I have also released a full length commercial recording of my original pop/rock music. Currently, I am teaching full time, performing, and composing.
I enjoy working with new students to develop their playing. My experience and teaching skills have yielded great results.
I have been fortunate to do what I love. Since graduating in 1992, I have been able to make a living as a musician/music teacher. I have played gigs at weddings, clubs, bars, private parties, etc. I have also developed my teaching business during the week. I have also been fortunate to record a CD on an Indie label of my original music. I also perform with my jazz trio, The Jazzy 3 at many private events in New York and Connecticut.+ Read More

Brian has been wonderful so far! He is great with our 6 year old and challenges him at an appropriate level while still making the lessons and learning very fun.
My daughter enjoyed the lesson and couldnt wait to play Mary Had a Little Lamb for me when I got home from work. Thanks Brian!
First impression is great!

Brian was very patient and understanding; he gave me helpful tips and vocal lessons. I will highly recommend him to anybody who's interested in music.
Leni really enjoyed her lessons and when she was on a break she was so excited to learn to play, that she was practicing instead of playing on her ipad!
Brian is an excellent teacher. he is very knowledgeable in music.
I Think Brian Christopher is a great teacher, he make his lessons enjoyable and puts a great effort in teaching me guitar which is the instrument I play.
Brian is such a great teacher, he is patient and makes it fun, my son really enjoys his lessons!
We’ve had a great experience with Brian as our son’s guitar teacher for almost three years. Brian is a patient instructor who has nurtured our son’s interest in music and has helped him to focus on the basics. He has enabled our son to explore the guitar an instrument and to instill an appreciation of how artists play it across genres. As a professional musician, Brian conveys a sense of presence and performance, which has been evident in the periodic recitals hosted for his students. Through the recitals, and the prep sessions for them, our son has learned to play both classical pieces and contemporary songs with a notable degree of poise and self-confidence.+ Read More
Brian's been teaching our kids for over two years, and he is the best! He's talented, a skilled teacher, and patient. He really makes himself available for "group gigs" so his students can jam together and learn about playing in a band. We're very happy that he's our kids' music instructor.+ Read More
Brian is an excellent teacher with lots of patience! He is an excellent guitar player, but he also is very patient and supporting of beginning students. I recommend him to my friends. I have improved so much under his tutelage.
Brian teaches my daughters both guitar and piano. They love it and he puts so much work into their recitals. Highly recommended!!!
Brian was a perfect teacher for my 10 year old boy. He took my son'e music choices into consideration and created a program which was both fun and instructive. Brian designed the lessons to give my son a great grasp of music theory as he was learning how to play his favorite tunes. During the recitals which involved all of Brian's students, it was clear that Brian customizes the lessons for each individual which makes his presentations fun and interesting.+ Read More
