Music Theory with Brandon B.

I moved to New York 6 years ago to study trumpet at Juilliard. I have a background in Classical and Jazz trumpet playing with a focus on Classical playing in school. I teach trumpet lessons to anyone from ages 1-100 who love music and want to get better at it. Whether you are a beginning student or an experienced player looking for some extra guidance, we will work together to get you where you want to be. Lessons will be centered around the students' current goals and playing demands. My goal is to get you playing your best, so you can make music the way you want to! I also can offer assistance in the subjects of Music Theory and Ear Training. I learned to play the piano classically by ear growing up, and later learned to read music when I learned to play the trumpet. I can help the student hear what he or she is playing and give an aural theory base. Having completed 6 years of music school while teaching in the Music Theory Department for 3 of those years, I am confident I can give anyone the amount of Music Theory they are looking for! As a performer, I enjoy I diverse career performing classically with orchestras such as the American Classical Orchestra, the Oratorio Society of New York, and freelance groups around the New York and Philly area, as well as with several Jazz Bands at clubs such as Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
