Piano with Blake A.

Blake has been teaching my three children piano for about 6 months, and he is wonderful. My children are 10,12,and 14. Blake organizes group time where they can learn various musical theory and ear training together, and then he does individualized lesson plans for each of them. I really love that he caters to their interests and allows them to develop a solid musical foundation doing what they like best. For example, my one son is more interested in writing his own music, so a part of his lesson is devoted to that. My daughter on the other hand like to learn traditional or folk songs, thus she works and practices on that with Blake. My other son enjoys learning about musical theory and history, and I have never seen him try harder with any other piano instructor than he does with Blake. I am extremely pleased and impressed with all that Blake has to offer, his ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child, and his general POSITIVE disposition and approach cannot be overstated. It is a pleasure to have him in my home and working with my children. They are not only learning to play songs on the piano they are also learning to love and appreciate music.

My son has picked up rhythm. Blake has engaged him in enjoying music. His listening of the tunes is better. Blake is passionate in his teaching and very professional. Absolutely recommend!

It was nice meeting Blake. He is very knowledgeable and patient. I was embarrassed about just beginning to take lessons at my age. Blake was so reassuring and encouraging. I think that his willingness to pace the lesson for my lack of skill, and his ability to evaluate and determine where I should begin my practice was right on! Thank you, Sylvia Esquerré
