I teach 5th graders trumpet in a small group setting at the Cambridge Street Upper School as a part of my teaching assistantship at the Longy School of Music.

Small Group Instructor (Teaching Assistant)

I focus on technical aspects of the instrument and how to produce the best sound with the most efficiency.  I utilize a wide range of exercises and etudes that focus on honing tone and breath control and most of all I try to make playing the trumpet fun!

I am currently a graduate student at the Longy School of music in Cambridge, Ma. I'm studying Modern American music, jazz and improvisation and I've been playing trumpet for 13 years. I have an undergraduate degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tn for classical trumpet performance and classical composition. I would love to teach beginner to intermediate trumpet players as well as anyone of any instrument begin their studies with improvisation. I can also teach theory as well as arranging and composition.
